how to get umbreonStarting out it's not always easy to know how or when a pokemon will evolve. Since the first three Eevelutions evolve with stones, you figure so do Espeon and Umbreon. You know with a sun stone and moon stone repectivally. But nope! These two take a friendship evolution. When they like you enough and depending on night or day, depends on what you get.
Friendship (night) → 
To get the frienship up with Eevee there are a couple of things you can do. You can battle with it as it's the lead (switch out to a stronger pokemon and defeat the opponent), get it groomed and feed it berries or poffins or pokeblock, whatever is avalible. Just don't let it faint, that sets you back a little. Also equiping a soothe bell will help friendship. My eevee generally evolved around level 30 and sometimes took a little longer. Due to time constraints. Night time is between 8pm and 6am.
