What do Cye's Torrent Armor colors say?
Cye's main colors are a light blue (turquoise, perhaps), black, and white. Because all of the ronin share white in their sub armor, I won't be including it in the color comparison. For the majority, the black accents is something he shares with all the guys, so it also won't be included. The focus here will merely be shades of light blue. His armor of torrent is associated with water, so it only makes sense that it would be blue. One thign I find interesting is that the armor of torrent is not just associated with water as an element but also as a purifying force. Using his armor, Cye is able to heal poisons and illnesses. Due to the immense number of traits for the color, I have used italics to define the traits most like Cye and underlines for traits that still fit but have less of a presence.

For the majority, Cye is a very calm and compassionate person. So much that he really dislikes fighting and often questions why the ronin have to fight. He cares so deeply for his friends that his natural instincts against fighting cause him a lot of conflict. He wants to help, yet he wants to do it in a way without fighting. This makes him somewhat unreliable when the guys need him in battle and he can't make up his mind. Something that eventually led to him exploding at Rowen and Kento in the second OVA Legend of the Inferno Armor. Over all, Cye tends to be very reserved and acts as a grounding force for Kento's energy. Usually calm, he also tends to be an idealist becuase he believes there has to be better ways to solve problems. For me, he represents softness and understanding because he is usually the one that listens to everyone else's troubles. He is the oldest and that shows in some regard, especially when dealing with Kento. On the other hand, while he should represent communication, he also struggles with it. Most likely because it can be hard for him to relate to the other guys who prioritize their ideas a little differently. He feels like he's the only one that doesn't want to fight and so it weighs on him greatly. Cye takes a long time to come to a conclusion that is beneficial for everyone often struggling with his heart and what he needs to be doing. His dislike for fighting puts him at odds with his armor and the task given to him. It is also his compassion that draws Suzunagi to him and ultimately gets him captured before receiving his new armor.
With the virtue of faith/trust, he is the guy to rely on. When the guys are sick or stuck, they know that Cye will always be there. Without him, they're just not complete! Despite their differing ideals they try very hard to get along. In the Legend of the Inferno Armors, Rowen tells Cye he understands exactly where he's coming from and that they need to save Ryo and Sage first. This causes a fight, and it is later in Message that we find out that Rowen shared Cye's desire to stop fighting but saving Ryo and Sage was first on his mind and heart. Ultimately, Cye understands that to stop fighting he must help the guys. His connection to his armor and the guys allows him to travel to Africa from Japan. When he arrives the guys are very ill and no amount of medicine is helpign them. With the power of his armor Cye removes the illness that had been plaguing them. This fits perfectly into the idea that turquoise brings emotional balance and healing to the mind and soul. It is also though that turquoise alleviates loneliness something that the guys probably felt while Cye was away. It is only after he returns that the team is back to full spirit. He understands that although he doesn't like fighting, it is necessary for the time being. By the time Message roles around, Cye is done with fighting and is surprised to know that he chose the armor again. Ultimately he chooses to take up his armor to prevent anyone from dying to protect him. He chooses the armor becuase he cares so deeply about people that fighting has no become a secondary thought to protecting people he cares about.
