Not quite diamonds but we'd love them anyways.

Cye has four birthstones. He has two for being a Pisces and two for being born in March. His Chinese Zodiac is the Ox, which shares the Aqamarine of March. Many of Cye's armor abiities are defined within water, one that is rarely touch upon is his ability to purify and heal.

♆ Amethyst

Birthstone for Pisces

The amethyst is thought to be a healing stone and is also ued to protect against intoxication. I would go so far as to say that it could also prevent other toxic measures. Perhaps this is one reason that Cye is so able to dispel and get through Sekhmet's poison. His armor is a natural purifying force, but I wonder if even without it if he would be able to withstand some of it. It's an interesting thought, at least. It is also considered a calming gem that can help prevent excessive arguments and misunderstandings, it should help with studying and learning as well.

♆ Aquamarine

Birthstone for March and Ox

Aquamarine is the sea water stone. It was used as a talisman to protect sailors at sea. In general, it is seen as peaceful stone that is able to purify which aids in emotional healing and deep meditation. It is related to the moon and is considered associated with feminine energies. For me, this also relates to Cye's kind and compassionate nature since he was raised by his mother and sister. He has more experience with nurturing others. It is considered a very empathic stone that helps to heal others. They used to say that a dream of an aquamaring symbolized that one would meet or make a new friend.

♆ Bloodstone

Birthstone for March

The bloodstone was used by ancient warriors to ward off injuries. They were also known for their ability to stop blood loss. Intrestingly enough, I find this amazingly well placed for a warrior. Especially one that given an expanded ability list might specialize in healing instead of fighting. In particular, bloodstone can drive away negative emotional energy, something that Cye does when he joins the guys in the second OAV, without him, they may have succumbed to the illness that was plaguing them.

♆ Turquoise

Birthstone for Pisces

Turquoise is also considered a healing gem and has connections to the sea and the sky. It's water energy promotes detoxifying effects and promotes overall well being. It brings peace to relationships, this works well for Cye who often works as a mediator and calm force within the Ronin. Cye is grounding, he is the peacemaker.
