⚜ Articles: Connection With VII

some similarities

This is what I get for talking on twitter. More articles! I've comes up with a couple but the first one I had nothing to do with.

Shinra and ShinRA

In Final Fantasy X-2, there is an Al Bhed boy named Shinra and he is a genius. He has come up with a way to turn the planet's life force into energy and make a city run on it. Maybe people believe that it is connected to Final Fantasy VII. With the name Shinra becoming a surname for the CEOs of the ShinRa Electric Power Plant. Shinra (little boy) mentions it will take many years any none of them will be around to see it, like thousands of years.

Al Bhed and the Cetra

Now in Final Fantasy VII there is also a group of people called Cetra (aka Ancients). These people roamed the land searching for the promise land. Every so often a small group would break off and claim they found their promise land. I'm not sure if that means they died or just found a home. What does this have to do with anything? Well the Al Bhed are also nomadic. They are also searching for a home. And they are slightly different than 'normal' people. So if the Shinra theory is possible, so is the Al Bhed and Cetra theory.

Lulu's Descendants

Reeve Now this brings us to Reeve Tuesti aka Mr. Dolls (sometimes with love other time not so much). Reeve also has a Cait Sith a fortune telling cat. Cait Sith seems to move on his own. Is he animatronic? Possessed by magic? Originally Reeve was to be given the power to make inanimate objects move but this was scrapped. Or was it?! Who else does this? Lulu! Lulu's dolls move by themselves or so it seems but do Lulu and Reeve share an ability? Only explanation Reeve is a descendant of Lulu's. It's possible, similar hair color, that ability with dolls and their eyes (possibly). I'm sticking with this. I find it highly likely that he could very well be a descendent of hers, maybe years down the line of course. Like thousands.

Are Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X/X2 connected? It's possible. Just gotta look for them. Minwu in Final Fantasy II mentions going to Mysidia, which is also a town in Final Fantasy IV. Coincidence? Maybe. Fun to come up with theories of how the games are connected? You betcha!
