some connection hereIn Final Fantasy X, only the summoner gets to summon. But if they all had their own aeon, I think Lulu would have gotten Shiva. They are connected.
Lulu is connected with Shiva. Collecting the crest and sigil needed for Lulu's celestial weapon also allows Shiva to break damage limit. Everyone is connected with one of the aeons, Auron and Yojimbo, Yuna and Valefor, Tidus and Bahamut (though Bahamut can already break all the things), Kimahri and Ixion and Wakka and Ifrit. Rikku isn't connected with any Aeons, I think that's because there isn't on tied to the Al Bhed. Anima is connected to Seymour and the Magus Sisters have Belgemine.
Why Shiva to Lulu? The crest and sigil are not associated with ice. I went over them in the symbology sections. Closest things is Autumn which comes before a Wintery death! Or it because they are both feminine women? Both beautiful and deadly? Or is there more to the two of them than anyone realizes? Not a lot is know about this Shiva other than she gave her life to be a fayth. Her fayth also looks part mermaid. Could Macalania once have been a small village of fishermen before a ice storm raged and froze the lake causing Shiva to turn into a fayth to protect the village? Or was Macalania once an ice fishing village that was destroyed by Sin? Or is Lake Macalania connected to the Moonflow, like Lake Hylia is connected to Zora's Domain? Moonflow once had a city built on the lake before it sunk to a watery grave. Maybe mermaids or something lived there? So many questions that remain answered. Time for some speculation and crazy theories!
Going back to that Autumn thing, Autumn comes before Winter. Winter is signified as death or bringing death. Well let's say Lulu symbolizes Autumn and Shiva is Winter. Lulu would call upon Shiva and then BAM! Death everywhere like the swiftly iced wind that they embody. All about symbology. Not that Lulu can summon Shiva but it is something. And generally when summoning the summoner disappears off screen kitting the summon take center stage and then switch places once more. I feel my autumn to winter theory kinda works. It's a stretch but workable.
Otherwise they are both femme fatales. I never get to use that! And the developers decided let's put the magic babe with the icy chick. That way some crazy girl can try to speculate why we did it. Kinda makes sense either way you go.
