❀ Korin's Message
Role in MessageSage appears throughout Message the third OAV. The guys have to deal with a new threat, Suzunagi. They find out that their life against the dynasty was a play in the Edo era. It upset them all greatly. Rowen goes missing followed by Cye. Sage and Kento hang together but Kento goes off by himself and Sage find him long enough to see Kento and new armor disapear. Next is Sages turn.
Most of Message is the guy's telling their feelings over recapped anime shots. Shows an insight to what they went through while fighting, though during the whole mess Cye was the only one to voice he didn't want to fight. But in Message it's revealed they all wanted to stop fighting. Message is good but it's also annoying when you just spammed watched the rest of the series. (Yes that happened to me and Justice Snow.) Anyway onto Sage and my thoughts (mostly rambles).
Sage read the play they were sent (Rowan found it. I bet he bought it as a bookstore because he like Samurai stories.) He gets upset like the rest but goes to meditate. He doesn't know someone is watching. (Suzunagi is a total creeper but I can't blame her for watching Sage at a distance. You could ahve at least to pictures for me Suzu!) The armor of Halo shows up and Sage instinctively reachs for a sword but stops himself. Halo hands over the nodachi to Sage and disperses. Suzunagi see this and flee. The Kenot becomes the next target and Sage see that. He runs inside the building to confront Suzunagi (but not for watching him, for taking his friends!). He reaches her and she asks him to put on the armor. Suzunagi hands him the helmet and he raises it above his head. I think he was going to disperse it like he did Halo. But she cries and runs to him leeching on. (Lucky woman....) He looks down at her and smiles. Then close his eyes and puts the armor on. End story.
That was a very rough and lame discription of what happened but close enough. (I'll fix it later....much later.) Ryo comes in and saves the day along with White Blaze who was MIA until the end. Yay new armor of Love and Grace for Sage. But I have more thoughts.
Suzunagi's family or at least her family and the threate troupe who she considered as family, did the play on the nine armors that we see our darling Ronin do. Except one is a play and the other is real life, bro. Because of the play and Papa Suzu refuse to say it was a a work of fiction (and he was a Christian), he was executed. I think iw as a beheading too and not seppuku. Later Mama Suzu died protecting Suzunagi in a fire. Well Suzunagi wants to destory the armors and it's never said why. I think it might have been because her dad never told her that the current armor wasn't real. That the armor would always protect her and her family. But it didn't and her family was slaughtered. The armor didn't protect them. And I think that's why she wanted the armor destroyed. Papa Suzu loved his daughter so much that he could break her heart and tell her that the current armor was fake. So she grew up and blamed the armor. I think that's why she wants the armor destroyed.
