Dagran stats out as an orphan. His parents were killed in the war but a legendary knight that he swears revenge upon. Sometime after he mets another orphan by the name of Zael. Dagran takes to him and helps Zael survive. The two become brothers, comrades, friends; they have each others backs no matter what. Zael and Dagran make mercenary band, members come and go due to death or desease.
Syrenne and Lowell at later met and join up with the group. Lowell is badly injured but survives. Dagran hates the way his team is treated for being mercenaries and swears he will get them a better life by becoming knights. Yurick and Mirania are also met and join. Will Dagran's promise set to give everyone a better life they set out. They end up on Lazulis Island. Where they meet a young woman called "Lisa" and this is when it starts to go down hill.
Not only do they met Lisa, but Dagran spots the man that killed his family, the general of Lazulis Island. He tries to suppress his hatred and disgust in the man. His mission: Get Zael and the others a better life. And he tries so hard for awhile to get them to be knights. In fact he achieves this after long battles of proving himself and his team. However, his hatred has taken over.
With hatred in motion and everything he wanted given to Zael and the fact that Lisa is really the princess Callista, doesn't help things at all! Dagran talks to Gurak and ends up betraying everything and most of all, Zael. Now he must fight against the man he once called brother. On the way to the Dagran, Lowell gets killed protecting Syrenne. Syrenne stays behind to protect his corpse while the others go after Dagran. Once there they fight. Luckily Dagran doesn't know what all Yurick can do. With Yuricks high magic and Zael's special power they are able to defeat Dagran.
With his last breath he apologizes to Zael. He tells him everything. And Zael forgives it all. With that Dagran closes his eyes and disperses into light. Lowell is revived do to this. Later Zael marryies Callista. I think Dagran was watching over this through Lowell. The band even builds a memorial site for Dagran, their brother and captain.
